The New York Rangers defeated the Vancouver Canucks in seven games to win the 1994 Stanley Cup Finals.
The Rangers won the first two games of the series at home, but the Canucks won the next two games in Vancouver to tie the series. The Rangers won Game 5 in New York, but the Canucks won Game 6 in Vancouver to force a seventh game.
In Game 7, the Rangers scored two goals in the first period and never looked back. They won the game 4-3, and Mark Messier was named the Conn Smythe Trophy winner as the most valuable player of the playoffs.
