Crazy Town Lead Singer Shifty Shellshock Dies

Frontman of Group Known for Hit Song "Butterfly" Passes Away

NEW YORK (AP) — Seth Binzer, the lead singer of the 2000s-era group Crazy Town known by fans as Shifty Shellshock, has died.

The cause and manner of Binzer's death are not yet known. He was 48 years old.

Binzer fronted the band, which gained fame with its 2001 hit song "Butterfly." The band released three studio albums and had several other successful singles, including "Toxic" and "Pretty Boy."

In recent years, Binzer had been open about his struggles with addiction and mental health. He had been arrested several times in the past decade on drug-related charges.
